How do I track the status of my return?
Last updated: May 14, 2025
Context
When a transaction is returned or refunded, customers often need to know the status of their refund and when they can expect to receive the funds back.
Answer
When a transaction is returned or refunded, the process and timeline varies depending on the payment method:
For Wire/ACH/SEPA Returns:
Once Bridge receives the returned funds from the destination bank, we automatically process the refund back to the original sender
A webhook notification is sent when the refund is processed
You can track the refund using:
IMAD number (for USD wires)
Transaction hash (for crypto returns)
UETR (for SEPA transfers)
Important Notes:
Bridge cannot initiate a refund until the funds are received back from the destination bank
The timeline for receiving returned funds depends on the receiving bank and payment method
For third-party payments that are rejected, funds will be automatically returned to the original sender once received back
If you have questions about a specific refund, please provide the original transaction ID when contacting support to help us track its status.
